尼克連續客場之旅14日面對太陽，主控Derrick Rose僅出賽10分鐘便傷退休息，太陽靠著Eric Bledsoe在延長賽終了前的致勝切入上籃，以113比111擊敗尼克。
一路落後的尼克在第四節由Kristaps Porzingis挺身而出，幫助尼克單節打出28比16的攻勢，可惜「KP」第四節終了前跳投無法命中，兩隊延長加班。
延長賽倒數1分34秒時Porzingis犯滿畢業，尼克靠著「甜瓜」Carmelo Anthony在終場前41秒中距離跳投命中取得1分領先，但Bledsoe隨即切入左手放進2分再度讓太陽超前。
終場前7秒Anthony同樣位置再度嘗試跳投，沒想到卻投出籃外空心，尼克24秒進攻時間違例，太陽隨後由Devin Booker穩定罰球鎖住勝局。
包含終場前致勝一擊，Bledsoe全場共拿下31分，並傳出8次助攻，Tyson Chandler拿下13分並抓下本季個人新高23籃板。
Porzingis拿下全場最高34分，並抓下8籃板送出3次火鍋封阻，無奈延長賽犯滿離場，只能眼睜睜看著球隊落敗。
Anthony此役手感冰冷，全場15投僅3中，共拿下13分，替補出陣的Kyle O'Quinn拿下22分14籃板，亮眼的表現適時填補「甜瓜」火力。
至於Rose在第一節剩下2分鐘時因為背部痙攣退場後便未再出賽，詳細傷勢必須再進一步檢查。
